If you’re planning a wedding in Hawaii and you’re coming from another part of the country, you’re probably overwhelmed with all the small details of planning a wedding away from home.  One important item that you don’t want to overlook is the marriage license of course!

Wedding Invitation

The state of Hawaii does require that you and your fiance’ fill out and file an application for a marriage license.  You don’t need to be a resident and you don’t have to worry about blood tests as in some other states.  But if you are 18 or younger, be sure to bring your ID or driver’s license along with a certified copy of your birth certificate.  If you’re 19 or over all you’ll need is your driver’s license, passport or other official identity card.  Either way, you’ll also need to bring $65 in cash for the fee.  You both must be present to obtain the license and it is valid for 30 days beginning the date that you file unlike some other states.

For a licensing office on the island you’re going to you can visit their site here
