After your wedding, your new husband will whisk you away for the honeymoon!  When choosing your honeymoon, there may be a lot of things to take into consideration….. How long can you take off work?  How far do you want to travel?  What is your budget like?  And mostly, where do you want to go?  Here’s a list of your fellow honeymooner’s top 10……

HAWAII – Any island you choose in Hawaii can be perfect for your honeymoon.  If you’d like to include a little nightlife, I’d recommend Oahu.  On Oahu you can find a good combination of shopping, hiking, nightclubs, sprawling beaches and rolling mountainsides.  The Big Island, parts of Maui and Kauai are more secluded and won’t satisfy for a night out on the town but they can offer a large variety of dramatic coastlines, deserted beaches, excellent snorkeling and lush tropical rainforests.  Also, if you’re on the west coast, Hawaii is really only a hop, skip and a jump away!

MEXICO – A country that has it all!  In Mexico, you can find a bit of everything.  If it’s golden sand beaches you’re looking for, make your way to the Baja Coast and stay near Cabo San Lucas or Nuevo Vallarta.  Looking to connect with history?  Then make your way to the country’s east coast and explore the Mayan ruins near the Yucatan Peninsula.  You’re sure to encounter great shopping and an energetic night scene on either side of Mexico too.

JAMAICA – What says tropical paradise more than Jamaica?!  It’s definitely the place if you’re looking for non-stop nightlife.  But if you’re not into that, choose one of the many adult only resorts on the island and stay close.  You’ll want to make some time to connect with nature and discover the many caves, green forests and waterfalls.

ST. LUCIA – A little bit French, a little bit British and a lot of tropical fun!  This is the perfect trip for nature lovers.  Snorkeling is amazing in the crystal clear warm ocean water.  Stroll through the lush rainforests and take in the views of the ocean from everywhere.

BAHAMAS – This is a great destination for you east coasters, most islands are just right off the coast of Florida making it an easy trip.  The beaches are stunning with the white sand and perfect crystal clear waters of the Caribbean.  The Bahamas have over 700 islands to choose from and you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – The Dominican Republic has really become an affordable and beautiful island destination.  It is a larger island and tends stay away from just focusing on tourism so you can get some great deals and expose yourself to their true culture. 

TAHITI – When I think tropical island, Tahiti definitely comes to mind!  Natural tropical beauty, Polynesian culture and hospitality, what more can you ask for?  A honeymoon to Tahiti really fits the bill for a romantic, secluded getaway. 

FIJI – Like Tahiti, Fiji’s on the brain when thinking about island paradises.  Fiji offers that alone on that white sand beach with the perfect palm trees blowing in that warm tropical breeze feeling!  There are more than enough secluded resorts scattered among the over 300 islands to find what you’re looking for.
