According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the most expensive slice of cake was sold in 1998 for $29,900 by Sotheby’s New York.  What made this slice of cake special enough to warrant such a price tag?  It came boxed and preserved from the 1937 wedding of Duke and Duchess of Windsor!  I’d be afraid to open the box!

Since we’re on the topic of records and royalty, it seems like Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton may have broken the record of the Largest TV Audience For a Wedding set by his father to Princess Diana of course back in 1981.  It’s not official yet but that’s what they’re saying!
