Recently many of you may have participated in the Most Romantic Proposal Give Away! This was a fun contest we ran on the BrideClub Facebook page for engaged couples to submit their engagement stories to us for a chance to win a trip Vegas! It was amazing to read all of the wonderful stories! Once the story and photo were submitted, our facebook fans got to vote on them.
The lucky winner was Kainani Collins! Thanks to Vacations Hawaii, they won a trip for 2 to Las Vegas! Here’s their photo and story!
My fiancee and I were on a trip in Las Vegas. I had a sneaking suspicion that he was going to ask me, but a whole week went by and it never happened! On our last day (we were leaving Las Vegas at midnight), he asked if I wanted to ride on a gondola at the Venetian hotel and casino. We both had previously lived in Las Vegas but we both had never rode on the gondola. I thought it was going to be fun…. So much time had passed by on the trip and he had so many chances to ask me, that I thought that he for sure didn’t have the ring or had something else planned at home in Hawai’i. We bought the tickets and we got a gondola to ourselves. When we got on the gondola, our gondola guide began singing a love song in Italian. When we reached the center of the canal tour, my fiancee started whispering in my ear that he loved me. It suddenly occurred to me what he was doing. He couldn’t get on one knee bc we would be soaking wet! It was so surreal, all of his words blurred together and we both started nervously giggling. Then he pulled out a little brown box and opened it. Inside was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. According to him, I responded with, “Okay!” and told him to put the ring on. The gondola guide asked if I said “yes” and I screamed, “Yes!!!” All the people around us were watching and started clapping and cheering. We were both so elated that we were ENGAGED and we get to start our life together as an engaged couple! We flew to Hawai’i that night and I just couldn’t wait to get home to show off my ring and tell everyone my story. So, here it is!!!! VOTE for us so we can get back to Las Vegas where it all started!
